The Story: The Nera family is now in their third generation of winemaking. Started by Guido Nera in 1940, and built to prominence by Pietro Nera (affectionately known in the family as “Papa Pietro”), it is now run by brothers Stefano and Simone and sister Angela. They've continued the family's tradition of excellence on the steep slopes of their estate, not far from Lake Como in the country's northern reaches.

Why You’ll Love Me: Intensely aromatic with lemon, green apple, and floral notes as well as a hint of wet stone. Look for a firm acidity that is a hallmark of Nebbiolo, but plenty of restraint as well -- this versatile blend might become your go-to summer white!
