The Story: Dating back to 1669, the historic estates of Villa Migliarina and Castello di Montozzi have been lovingly steered by the Bartolini Baldelli family for centuries. Today, cousins Antonio and Carlo maintain the rugged property with a refreshing, down-to-earth humility, completely ignoring commercial trends to focus entirely on organic biodiversity. While Tuscany is fiercely celebrated for its bold reds, the cousins recognized a hidden genius in their 50-year-old white Trebbiano vines. By letting the hand-harvested grapes macerate on their skins for seven to eight days in concrete and stainless steel, they revived an ancient, low-intervention style of orange winemaking that coaxes incredible depth out of an otherwise simple grape.
