Grape: 100% Falanghina.

I am from: IGP Puglia, Southern Italy (Sourced from a select single vineyard in the cooler, elevated Valle d'Itria).

The Story: While the ancient Falanghina grape is traditionally celebrated as the undisputed queen of neighboring Campania, the historic Cantine Miali family has proven that it can sing a beautifully distinct song on Puglian soil. Established in 1886 in Martina Franca by Elvino Miali—whose name was famously, and almost prophetically, misspelled as "Elvino" instead of Livino by a local registration clerk—the estate has spent four generations championing the unique terroirs of the Valle d'Itria. For their Single Vineyard series, they source fruit from prized, high-altitude plots perched between 380 and 400 meters above sea level, where the vines dig deep into chalky clay soils. To ensure the raw, uninhibited voice of the vineyard speaks with absolute clarity, the winemaking team rejects oak entirely. The hand-harvested grapes undergo a cold cryomaceration to lock in aromatics before being fermented and aged entirely in traditional stone tanks. This thoughtful, minimal-intervention approach yields an exceptionally elegant, straight-forward white that swaps heavy wood makeup for pure, sun-drenched Adriatic energy.

Why You'll Love Me: It is crisp, lively, and beautifully nuanced—a refreshing Southern Italian white that masterfully balances youthful fruitiness with a sophisticated, structured weight. It pours a brilliant straw-yellow color with shimmering green reflections in the glass. The nose is highly expressive and instantly welcoming, greeting you with a fragrant bouquet of white flowers, fresh peach blossoms, and ripe orchard fruits, intricately layered with subtle tropical accents of kiwi and a delicate, smoky mineral undertone. On the palate, it hits with a light-to-medium body and a remarkably clean, focused mouthfeel. A juicy core of white peach and lemon-lime tartness glides effortlessly across the tongue, supported by a refreshing beam of natural acidity and a distinct, chalky mineral texture before sailing into a long, beautifully balanced finish marked by a clean saline snap.
