I am from: Mâcon-Villages AOC, Mâconnais, Burgundy, France.
The Story: Maison Deux-Fleurs is a beautifully collaborative project built entirely on shared passion, trust, and mutual respect. Rather than operating as a massive, industrial corporate house, the label acts as a personal, dynamic bridge to the hidden, generational family winemakers of Southern Burgundy. Over the years, the team has cultivated deep, long-standing relationships with independent local growers across the Mâconnais who share their uncompromising vision of low-intervention viticulture and pure, terroir-driven expressions.
For this lively Mâcon-Villages bottling, the grapes are meticulously sourced from prized, sun-drenched vineyard plots where the vines burrow deep into an ancient, ideal matrix of clay and calcium-rich limestone soils. The winemaking philosophy centers on absolute transparency, focusing on the fruit rather than heavy cellar tricks. Fermented in temperature-controlled vats and allowed to rest gracefully on its fine lees before bottling, the wine handles its natural Southern Burgundy warmth with absolute poise, delivering a beautifully naked, unadulterated snapshot of pure Macônnais terroir.
Why You'll Love Me: It is bright, texturally charming, and beautifully balanced—a classic, open-hearted white Burgundy that perfectly marries an inviting, sun-kissed fruit profile with a crisp, tongue-cleansing energy. In the glass, it pours a brilliant, golden-straw color with clear, youthful emerald reflections. The nose is exceptionally inviting and aromatic, instantly greeting you with a fragrant bouquet of ripe yellow apples, fresh Bartlett pears, and juicy white peaches, seamlessly layered with delicate undertones of lemon curd, chamomile blossoms, salted almonds, and a subtle whisper of cocoa or warm baking spice. On the palate, it delivers a delightful structural surprise: it hits with a smooth, medium-bodied fleshiness and a subtle, silky creaminess that coats the tongue, satisfying your craving for classic Chardonnay weight. Yet, it stays completely light on its feet—a clean, vibrant vein of natural acidity cuts straight through the rich orchard fruit, pulling the wine into a long, beautifully dry finish marked by a mouthwatering, saline-mineral snap.
