I am from: Los Altos (The Highlands), Jalisco, Mexico
The Story: Inspired by a family legacy that began a century ago, this family-owned distillery is a benchmark producer in Los Altos—the rugged, sun-drenched highlands of eastern Jalisco. The Highlands region is legendary because it holds the spirit's most prestigious terroir, thanks to its unique, ancient soils dominated by rich red clay and iron. High altitudes and sharp day-and-night temperature shifts blanket the estate, locking in vibrant sweetness while the highland terrain infuses the 6-to-7-year-old agaves with an unforgettable fruit-meets-mineral character. Patiently matured for 18 to 19 months in American white oak barrels, it captures a deep conversation between agave and time.
Why You'll Love Me: It balances deeply caramelized agave sweetness with an incredibly seductive, oak-driven warmth. Bursting from the glass with lively aromas of warm vanilla bean, ripe orange zest, toasted coffee, and dark cacao, it delivers a beautiful, silky medium body on the palate that is instantly cut by a laser-beam core of warm baking spices like cinnamon and clove. It gracefully sweeps into a long, complex finish defined by a mouthwatering buttery sweetness, a touch of rich tobacco and leather, and a signature hint of smoky, sophisticated oak.
