The Story: Hand-harvested to preserve quality, this wine is a brilliant representation of the wines of Toro, a region which may lack the name recognition of a Rioja or but nevertheless offers the expressive character for which Tempranillo is known. Drawing from plots throughout the valley of San Román de Hornija, fourth-generation winemaker Enriqueta Celemín Amaro has produced an impressive lineup of wines that speak to both tradition and a focus on the centuries-old tradition of Spanish winemaking. 

Why You’ll Love Me: On the nose, this bottle reveals itself to be fresh with a high concentration of red fruit, with delicate aromas that result from 6 months in French oak. Medium-bodied and vibrant, it shows elements of plum and black cherry with a touch of spice, and elegant, round tannins.
