The Story: Mirroring its white counterpart, the Tinto (red) is estate-grown on the beautiful, biodiversity-focused 800-hectare Herdade de Coelheiros estate. Here, the vines must dig incredibly deep into the ancient, low-fertility granite and clay soils because the winery intentionally chooses not to irrigate. This forces the vines to struggle, concentrating the flavors beautifully. Adhering to strict organic and low-intervention practices, the winemakers ferment the juice using only native, wild yeasts and age the final wine for 12 months in neutral French oak barrels to naturally round out its structure without smothering the fruit in heavy vanilla flavors.

Why You'll Love Me: It is a masterful balance of robust power and silky elegance. It pours a deep, intense ruby color, releasing a warm, expressive bouquet of ripe black cherries, wild blackberries, and dark plums, seamlessly intertwined with notes of dry forest floor, wood smoke, and exotic baking spices. On the palate, it delivers a generous full body packed with rich dark fruit density, held together by a beautiful thread of fresh acidity and fine, well-integrated tannins that leave a long, warming, and velvety finish.
