The Story: Set deep in the atmospheric, glacial valleys of County Wicklow, this progressive craft pioneer is a benchmark producer from Glendalough—Ireland’s very first craft distillery. The Wicklow mountains are legendary because they hold the spirit's most pristine, wild heritage, drawing pure water from the surrounding mountain snowmelts and crystal-clear streams. Constant, moisture-rich maritime breezes blanket the valley warehouses, locking in a vibrant freshness while the unique Irish microclimate matures the spirit beautifully. Crafted from a single grain mash bill of locally sourced malted barley and corn, this whiskey owes its name to a meticulous "double barrel" aging process: it is first aged in flame-charred American ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in rare, hand-selected Oloroso sherry casks from Montilla, Spain.
