The Story: The Corte Fusia winery is located in Coccaglio, in the province of Brescia, in a renovated 17th century palace. The company cultivates seven hectares of land with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc vines, all grown according to integrated viticulture principles. The philosophy of the winery is based on feeling itself as part of the environment and wanting to represent it through wine, one of the most immediate and direct expressions of the land and how man interacts with it. For this reason that the Corte Fusia winery always tries to limit manipulation, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, making their wines the purest possible expression of the terroir.
Why You'll Love Me: “Saten” means silk and that word best describes this wine: silky. The Chardonnay comes to the fore with notes of yellow apple, wild herbs, and hints of fennel. A lean acidity shows notes of green apple and a hint of almond before a long, savory finish.
