Case of Les Vignerons d'Estezargue "Carambouille" Vin de France Rouge (12 bottles)
Pairs with: Spicy fish tacos
Good for: Welcoming warmer weather
Grapes: 53% Cinsault, 43% Grenache and 4% Counoise
I am from: Rhône Valley, France
The story: A cooperative cellar established in 1965 near the southern Rhône village which gives it its name, Estézargues is commited to embracing the region's history along with organic viticulture -- a practice they've made their own for some forty years. These trailblazing producers have worked hard to pay tribute to the region's traditional grapes, and their wines use no commercial yeast, no enzymes, no gum arabic, no acidifiers, and also almost no sulfur.
Why You'll Love Me: The palate is round, fresh, crunchy, with a supple and delectable character, simply bursting with fruit -- think red cherry popsicles and fresh stawberries. A deliciously naughty grippy character to the finish doesn't help matters -- the fruit and freshness go up a notch. For anyone on the hunt for a chillable, crushable delicious red to consume during warm weather – look no further!
