The Story: Jean-Marc Brocard founded his domaine in 1973 and went on to become one of Chablis's absolute pioneers in organic and biodynamic viticulture, converting his land decades before it was fashionable. Named after the historic church sitting right next to the family winery, the "Sainte Claire" vineyard is a stunning showcase of Chablis terroir. What makes this "Vieilles Vignes" (Old Vines) bottling a true trophy is that it is sourced entirely from low-yielding, deeply rooted vines planted just after World War II. These 70+ year-old vines dig deep into the pristine, fossil-rich Kimmeridgian limestone, pulling up incredible character. Vinified entirely without oak to let the pure fruit and soil speak, it offers a level of concentration and depth that leaves basic village Chablis far behind.

Why You'll Love Me: It is an absolute powerhouse of flavor, combining laser-focused energy with a surprisingly luxurious, rich texture. It pours a beautiful pale yellow with brilliant greenish-silver glimmers. The nose is a masterclass in quiet intensity—initially offering smoky, flinty reduction before opening up to vibrant aromas of tart lemon zest, crunchy green apple, white peach, and a tropical whisper of mango skin. On the palate, its old-vine pedigree translates to a dense, round, and mouth-filling concentration. It stays beautifully balanced thanks to a slicing core of lime acidity, gliding into a long, smoky finish anchored by a distinct, oceanic salinity and a chalky mineral crunch.
