The Story: Luigi Voghera and his wife, Pinuccia, put down their winemaking roots in 1974 in the small town of Tetti, nestled in the hills of Neive—right at the absolute epicenter of the famous Barbaresco appellation. Today, the family carefully farms their steep, hillside vineyards rich in calcareous marl and sandy soils. For this Langhe Nebbiolo, they age the wine for 12 months in Allier oak casks, striking a beautiful, traditional balance between vibrant youthfulness and refined structure.
Why You'll Love Me: It offers a masterclass in the elegant, haunting aromatics that make Nebbiolo one of the world's most revered grapes. Pouring a classic translucent ruby red with subtle orange hues at the rim, it opens with a breathtaking bouquet of fresh violets, sweet wild strawberries, cranberries, and a touch of savory underbrush and baking spices. On the palate, it is beautifully dry and harmonious, driven by a bright, lip-smacking acidity and those distinct, pleasantly chalky Nebbiolo tannins that beg for food.
