Weingut Rings 2018 Spatburgunder Trocken
Pairs with: Roast duck breast with bramble jus
Good for: Impressing your friends who think they are Pinot-Know-It-Alls
Feels like: Taking that first bite of your favorite meal
Grape: Pinot Noir
I am from: Freinsheim, Pfalz, Germany
The story:  You may not know it, but Germany is actually the third-largest producer of Pinot Noir in the world. The Germans just drink it all, instead of exporting it! The cool climate here is ideal for growing Spätburgunder (the German name for Pinot Noir). Weingut Rings is a member of the VDP, an association of German winemakers, and the emblazoned eagle on each bottle is a guarantee of quality.

In your mouth: Grab ahold of me, and be amazed at how smooth I am. If you like crisp cranberry, raspberry, and soft spice, then we're gonna have a lovely time together.
