The story: The family history of Cescon has remote and rural traditions, due to the founder Arturo, who moved from his native Fontanelle (Treviso) in Annone Veneto in June 1950. He and his brother bought a first farm of 7 hectares, partially with vineyards, and an adjacent farmhouse. At time the viticulture was linked to the livestock and silkworm breeding, which fed on mulberry leaves, used as live guardians in the vineyards. The agricultural tradition of the family continues with Arturo's son Luigi who, in 1960, at age of 14, joined his father in business management. Louis is still an active presence in the enterprise and hands down, as his father did with him, the passion and the love for the land and the wine-growing to his own children.
In the 1960's other vineyard equipment was made and all grape production of the company was given to the social winery of the area. In 1996 when Luigi's son Marco decided to start his adventure in agriculture, he had the idea of achieving a transformed winey. Since that year all the grapes grown on the estate are vinified in that winery. Currently the vineyard area is about 18 hectares. The name "La Cuspide" is a tribute to Luigi's passion for archeology but, at the same time, wants to show the strong connection of love and respect between family and the territory where it works and cultivates grapes for more than 60 years.
Why you’ll love me: Fruity and balsamic. Spicy plum tones, red currants, licorice.
