The Story: Opened in 2014 on a remote, wave-battered peninsula, this ultra-modern yet fiercely traditional estate is a benchmark producer in the Western Highlands—perched on the westernmost point of the Scottish mainland. The location is legendary because it holds the spirit's most pristine, wild heritage, operating as one of Scotland's most sustainable distilleries powered entirely by local hydro-electricity and wood-chip biomass. Brisk, salty Atlantic gales and cool maritime mists constantly blanket the dunnage warehouses, locking in a vibrant complexity while the ancient volcanic terrain infuses the liquid with an unforgettable mountain-meets-ocean character. Utilizing a meticulous 50/50 blend of peated and unpeated malted barley matured in a mix of premium ex-bourbon and Spanish sherry casks, it captures the raw, untamed heartbeat of Scotland’s rugged coast.
