The Story: Endless River takes its name and inspiration from the winding waterways and stony riverbeds that carve through New Zealand’s legendary Marlborough region. The project focuses on capturing a pure, unadulterated maritime snapshot of the South Island. Here, intense high-UV daylight hours allow Sauvignon Blanc grapes to build dramatic, tropical aromatic concentration, while cold nighttime breezes descending from the mountains preserve towering natural acidity.
Rooted in free-draining gravel soils that naturally limit vine vigor, the grapes are harvested at peak maturity to balance bright citrus with lush tropical fruit. In the cellar, the winemaking team maintains a low-intervention philosophy focused entirely on varietal purity. The fruit undergoes a gentle pressing followed by a cool fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Completely bypassing oak contact or malolactic fermentation, the wine rests briefly on fine lees to build a subtle, satin-like texture on the mid-palate while keeping its trademark zesty punch front and center.
