The Story:  The best producing vineyards in the Mosel region are located along the river bearing the same name, where the sun’s heat is maximized by reflections off the water. This increases the grapes' exposure to light and heat and makes for a more full, ripe fruit. Soil in this area is also dominated by porous slate, which has ideal drainage for the heavy rainfall typical to the region.
