The Story: Viña Morandé was founded by visionary winemaker Pablo Morandé, who famously recognized the cool-climate potential of the Casablanca Valley back in the 1980s before it became Chile's premier region for crisp whites and coastal reds. The Vitis Única series is dedicated to highlighting single-varietal purity anchored in specific micro-terroirs. Sourced from the cool Lo Ovalle sub-zone—where heavy morning fog from the Humboldt Current gives way to bright afternoon sun—the grapes enjoy a slow growing season that builds deep aromatic complexity while preserving intense natural acidity.

In the cellar, the fruit is handled with minimalist reverence to allow the granite-rich soil and coastal climate to speak clearly. The grapes are fermented using native yeasts in open-topped oak tanks, incorporating a subtle portion of whole clusters for structural lift. Following fermentation, the wine matures for up to 12 months in large French oak foudres.
