The story: Podere Il Saliceto is owned by Isabella Gian Paolo and Righi Marcello who directly follow the vineyards and vinifications. The company is located in the Modenese plain in Capogalliano, a wine-growing area traditionally suited to Lambrusco. Among the cultivated varieties we find Lambrusco di Sorbara and salamino but also Trebbiano Modenese and Malbo gentile. The vineyards are located partly in the hamlet of Saliceto Buzzalino and partly in the area called Albone; they are all trained with guyot or spurred cordon and the planting density is 4000 vines / ha.
Why you’ll love me: Dry sparkling wine produced with the Charmat method. It has a ruby red color with purple reflections. The foam is creamy and consistent. Notes of blackberry and blueberry on the nose.
