The story: Mendocino County is a cool region, right along the Pacific coast to the north of San Fransisco. The ocean provides cool breezes and morning fogs which helps lengthen the ripening period, as well as regulating the temperature year round. The wines produced by Saint Gregory here are modelled after Burgundian wines; they're elegant, austere, and complex.
In your mouth: If you like Pinot Noir with a bit of backbone to it, then I'll be right up your alley. The first thing you'll notice about me is pure notes of Bing cherry and my rich, velvety mouth-feel will be on your mind all night.
