The story: In 1989, historic winery Cantina Valpilocella Negrar launched an articulated Quality project by identifying suited zones within the Valpolicella Classica area. This decision and imperative of focusing on improved quality led to the rise of the Valpolicella Classica lines of wines. These wines represent the most sincere expression of a geographically and historically well-defined territory.
In your mouth: You're greeted by an intense and earthy nose reminiscent of liqueur cherries, thyme, and sauteed mushroom. On the palate, delightful plum notes complement raspberry compote and dried fruit, nuts, and toasted almond in a lasting finish. The lively tannins and warm, full bodied mouthfeel complete the package.
