The story: Fontanafredda was instrumental both in rising popularity of Barolo, and in pioneering organic winemaking in Piedmont. As of 2019, they are the largest organic producer in the region! But as they've grown, they've never lost sight of what's most important: making great wine.
In your mouth: I smell like mulled wine and freshly crushed cherries, with hints of tobacco and leather in my depths. At first sip, I drift like silk over your tongue, leaving trails of white pepper and rose petals. Touches of cranberry rise from my cherry depths, filling out the edges of my velvety, grippy finish.
