Domaine Quintin 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Rive Droite Coteaux du Giennois
Pairs with: Seared halibut in lemon caper sauce
Good for: Seafood dinner with friends & family after a day in the sun
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc
I am from: Coteaux du Giennois, Loire Valley, France
The Story: In the early 1990s, brothers François and Michel Quintin revived a plot of land on the right bank of the Loire River that had been abandoned since the Phylloxera blight of the late 19th century. In a relatively short period of time, the winery has risen to become one of the more impressive producers in the region, earning significant recognition and medals for their exceptional wines which highlight the terroir’s best qualities.
Why You’ll Love Me: This wine is crisp and medium-bodied with ripe grapefruit and apricot. The fruit is perfectly balanced with acidity, offering a crisp, clean finish.
