The story: At Chiusa Grande, traditional values and ethics are more important than profit. The organization is committed to transparency with respect for both nature and for their customers. To date, they are one of the most highly certified vineyards in Europe for eco-sustainability. The Farm started in the early 1960’s when Rocco D’Eusanio recognized a gap in the market of Central and Southern Italy. He started his company to grow and sell vines, which soon became the area’s go-to point for the wine sector. It wasn’t until 1991 that the D’Eusanio family acquired the Chiusa Grande country estate and started growing vines and organic vegetables in heated greenhouses. They then moved into production and in 1996 their first wine was made. Today, Chiusa Grande is led by Franco D’Eusanio, son of Rocco, and Franco’s children Ilaria and young Rocco.
Why you’ll love me: Wine of remarkable typicity, balanced, harmonic and soft. With great body and persistence, with a pleasant and fruity aftertaste recalling the grapes of origin.
