Chateau Rougi 2016 Bordeaux

@{ name | capitalize }: @{ value } in stock

Pairs with: Beef, Veal, Poultry

Good for:  A dinner with old friends

Feels like: Enjoying a river-side meal

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec

I am from:  Bordeaux, France

The story:  From the small department of Gironde in Bordeaux, Château Rougi, which belongs to the group of Laurent Mazeau’s vineyards, is located in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, near the village of Targon and facing the medieval “Château de Benauge”. Half of the vineyard was part of the original family estate and the second half was purchased in 1972.

In your mouth: With soft, effusive notes of ripe red cherry and fresh raspberries, this well-balanced and elegant Bordeaux drinks beautifully on its own as an evening sipper, and the expressive structure of the smokey tannins is a darling couple to a robust meal of veal or tenderloin.
