The story: After the vineyards of Le Maqueline froze in the intense winter of 1956, they sat unused for thirty years before Wilhelmina van Essen de Cazenove decided to breath new life into the frosted vines. Thus Chateau de Cazenove was born, and through intense dedication to local tradition and craft now makes some of the finest wines the region has to offer.
In your mouth: I have beautiful fruit aromas of blackberry, cherry, black currant, and the slight smokey note of a cigar box to tie them all together. My palate is rich and soft with gorgeous round tannins, fresh flavors of blackberry, brambles, vanilla, and a hint of white pepper. You'll fall in love long before the end of my lingering finish.
