Pairs with: Smoky, spicy food
Good for: Charcoal grilling
Feels like: An amazing backyard conversation
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere
I am from: Maule Valley, Chile
The story: Tinajas Del Maule was started in 1997 when a family decided to reinvigorate a dilapidated property dating back to 1918. The family quickly rose through the Chilean ranks by producing amazing wine for the price. Today, they make over a dozen different styles showcasing what those original vines can offer. Give them a whirl and you'll see!
In your mouth: Would you like cracked black pepper? Blueberries, cherries with hints of spicy herbs come to greet you immediately on the first sip. I linger with a smoked meat savoriness and a delicate brightness.
